Hello All,
We had an excellent time sampling selections of sparkling wines. These all varied from region and country and found them uniquely wonderful. I hope that everyone now feels comfortable reaching out to sparkling wines for occasions other than new years and weddings.
Gruet Blanc de Noirs Sparkling Wine – New Mexico, USLa Marca Prosecco – Veneto, Italy
Segura Viudas Cava – Penedes, Spain
Piper Heidsieck Brut – Champagne, France
Louis Bouillot Perle d’Aurore Rose – Burgundy, France
and for good measure a 2007 Bodegas LAN Reserva Tempranillo – La Rioja, Spain
I like to thanks everyone who brought dishes and desserts to share with the group, they were all were delicious! In addition, thanks to Danny Klein who demonstrated how sabering a Champagne Bottle is done. Congratulations to the all who won holiday prizes.
Next meeting will take place on January 14th 7 PM – 9PM We will also have Chocolatier Kathryn Marlow of Kathryn’s Confections will be stopping by to present sampling of wonderfully flavored chocolates. This will also be a good time to think about valentines. So, don’t miss out!
